Welcome To The Global Sports Coaching Tennis Journal!
The Global Website for Tennis Coaching!
Dear Tennis Enthusiast
Issue 7, January 2007
Welcome to 2007! We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Christmas and New Year period and are ready to attack 2007 with energy and enthusiasm. With the Australian Open commencing this is an exciting time for the tennis community and often a chance to see who the new stars of the game will be (in 2006 it was Marcos Baghdatis).
Our articles this week deal with drills to specifically prepare for playing on medium paced hard courts like those at the Australian Open. David Horne prepares a multi court warm up program for a large group of students while Tina Dodd looks into the diary of a professional coach, and finds a daunting schedule. Week 3 of lesson plans gives ideas for teaching beginner, intermediate and squad groups.
