Welcome To The Global Sports Coaching Tennis Journal!
The Global Website for Tennis Coaching!
Dear Tennis Enthusiast
Issue 9, March 2007
Federer has lost...Federer has lost! The great Swiss fell just short of a record winning streak at Indian Wells this week giving his rivals renewed hope. Is he suffering a foot injury? - or depressingly for his opponents - is he preparing for an assault on the clay court season and a chance at completing the grand slam.
The women's tour remains unpredictable - a triumphant return for Justine Henin but no sign of any consistent appearances by either of the Williams sisters. As the clay court season looms all eyes are on Amelie Mauresmo as she prepares to tackle her home grand slam - the French Open - and overcoming the last biggest hurdle of her career.
This month's newsletter includes:-
- an excerpt from the new eBook "Tennis - Player Development" discussing modern playing styles.
- the series of sample lesson plans continues to Week 5
- Dave Preston presents time friendly ways to run a club championship; and
- the most important skills of playing baseline tennis - and drills to improve each area are explored in our final article.
We hope you enjoy the newsletter and please keep the feedback coming in, we want to hear what you think of the website and what you would like to see more of. Send feedback to admin@globalsportscoaching.com
